Taos Mountain Music Festival

Barbie, Austin and I headed to Taos Ski Valley this past Saturday for the First Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival. It was a great time combined with great bands and fantastic music. Hats off to the event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and promoters of this first class event. The Taos Ski Valley is the perfect venue for a music festival, and the weather cooperated by providing lots of sunshine!

The band lineup included Ozomalti, Joan Osborne, The Wailers, Nosotros, Rico Blues Project, and more! Another great component of the success of the event was the fact that the organizers allowed children ten and under in free, and this resulted in lots of families with kids. We also saw lots of friends from Angel Fire and from all over New Mexico. We heard the event was a great success with over 3000 people in attendance, and there is even talk in the air for making the event a two day event next summer. We will be back, and hope to see you there. In the meantime here are some photos...
