Old Fashioned Wood Stoves and Green Chile Stew

We spent the day at our Eagle Nest office at the Laguna Vista. It is a cold and snowy day, so we headed across the street to explore the Cottonwood Lodge and Spirit Wind Gallery where we met the very nice owners Stacie and Bill Ewing. They were having a cooking demonstration on one of the restored antique stoves they sell. We sat down and had some fantastic old fasioned Green Chile Stew and Cheese Cornbread, yum! The Ewings are making this a Saturday tradition, so if your in Eagle Nest on a Saturday at noon you need to stop and meet the Ewings and see their incredible store. In the picture of us you can see their personal stove in the background, I hope they don't sell the Garland Stove before I can save enough money to buy it!
