Movies Under the Stars

(Angel Fire Resort News Release) - Grab your chairs and blankets and join Angel Fire Resort for five weeks of Friday night movies under the stars starting July 3rd. A northern New Mexico favorite, Movies Under the Stars has been moved this year to the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course driving range to take advantage of the natural amphitheater style seating and lush grass.

Adjacent to the temporary country club, the driving range makes the perfect spectator venue for the 50’ inflatable movie screen and theater quality surround sound. The 2009 movie line-up includes “Surf’s Up”, “Iron Man”, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop”, “Dark Knight” and “Yes Man”. The event is being offered to the public free of charge – complete with free popcorn – and in partnership with the Village of Angel Fire, Michelob Ultra, Zanios Foods and KKTC – FM 99.

As the evenings tend to get chilly, moviegoers are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, jackets and other materials to make the movie more comfortable and enjoyable. Bringing alcoholic beverages on the premises is prohibited by New Mexico State Law. Backpacks and coolers will be subject to search. There will be a cash bar available to individuals 21 years of age and older with valid ID. Concessions, including barbeque, sodas, snacks, and candy will also be available on site.
