Well, it's official, Angel Fire is closing for the season tomorrow March 22. Unseasonably warm weather has melted away the snow and set the stage for Spring, also due to arrive tomorrow. Time to get out the Golf Clubs and Hiking Boots. We have had a great season though. December through much of February we had great snow, and business was brisk. The real estate business has also been holding surprisingly steady. We had lots of people in the office over the big spring break week, and they were looking for good deals on Condos, Homes, and Lots. I want to bring up the fact that Angel Fire has not been affected nearly as much as other parts of the country in regards to the recession. while it is true that prices have come down a bit, our customers are recognizing this as an opportunity to make an investment in real estate. Angel Fire real estate has proven itself as a much more resilient investment than other sectors such as the stock market. Add to this the fact that we have one of the best high schools in the country, we have numerous projects underway or getting ready to break ground, and we are ranked as the fastest growing municipality in New Mexico, and you have got a formula for real estate success.
